Check your Internet browser

VineAccess takes advantage of the latest Internet technology and relies upon your computer having a current Internet browser. VineAccess was written specifically to support only Microsoft Internet Explorer version 5.5 and greater and Mozilla Firefox 1.1 or greater.

If you are not running at least IE version 5.5 or Firefox 1.1, you must upgrade your browser for VineAccess to function correctly. If you do not, the system may not function as you would expect. Problems may include pages not loading properly, data not saving correctly and JavaScript errors.

To check which version of Internet Explorer you are running, click on the Internet Explorer “Help” menu on your computer and then select “About Internet Explorer”.

You also need to ensure that you have JavaScript enabled, this is not the same thing as Java.

For Microsoft Internet Explorer click “Tools” on the menu bar at the top of the page, and select “Internet Options”.
Under the Advanced tab, check that JavaScript is not disabled.
Under the Security tab click the “Custom Level” button, and check that Scripting is not disabled. (using the default security level should work)

For Mozilla Firefox click "Tools" on the menu bar at the top of the page, and select "Options".
On the Content tab, check that JavaScript is not disabled.
Under the Privacy tab click the "Allow sites to set Cookies" box.
